Permanently appointed definition

Permanently appointed means appointed to a permanent position pursuant to sections 17-23 of the Act.
Permanently appointed means appointed on an indefinite basis, including a temporary transfer for a period of three months or more, or for any shorter period which then extends to a period of three months or more.

Examples of Permanently appointed in a sentence

  • Permanently appointed new employees in key or special recruitment positions may be credited for prior professional service by placement at the appropriate step of the vacation accrual table contained in Article 16 of this Agreement, when authorized by the Commissioner-in-Charge.

  • Permanently appointed Unit members may, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools and with the approval of the Board of Education, be given their regular salary increase for full-time approved study at an accredited institution of higher learning.

  • Regularly appointed employee means an individual with an exempt, probationary or regular appointment to a position of City employment.

  • Permanently Disabled means a person who meets the definition in Iowa Code section 483A.4.

  • Temporary appointment means that definition which is contained in the Charter of the City of Columbus and related Civil Services Rules and Regulations.
