POST Basic Certificate definition

POST Basic Certificate. A California Commission on Peace Officers Standards and Training certificate awarded to a peace officers who has satisfactorily demonstrated proficiency as a California Peace Officer. This proficiency is a result of satisfactorily completing a 12 month probation period in which the Chief must sign a POS Basic Certificate application for award.

Examples of POST Basic Certificate in a sentence

  • Participation in the CIP will be on a yearly basis for those personnel who possess a P.O.S.T. Basic Certificate or County equivalent certificate.

  • All Campus Police Officer personnel shall be required to maintain a P.O.S.T. Basic Certificate in good standing as a condition of continued employment.

  • A lateral transfer employee is generally described as one who possesses a P.O.S.T. Basic Certificate awarded by the California Commission of Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) and is currently employed by a California County Sheriff's Office as a Deputy Sheriff or City Police Department as a Police Officer with at least one year of continuous service as a peace officer performing general law enforcement duties.

  • The probationary period for new hires with previous law enforcement experience and who possess a valid P.O.S.T Basic Certificate shall begin on the date of employment and shall continue for a period of twelve (12) months.

  • Individuals hired as a lateral transfer must have a valid P.O.S.T. Basic Certificate at the time of hire and will be subject to a 12-month probationary period.

  • Possession of a California POST Basic Academy Certificate or a California POST Basic Certificate.

  • Participation in the CIP will be on a yearly basis for those personnel who possess a POST Basic Certificate.

  • Individuals hired as a lateral transfer must have a valid P.O.S.T. Basic Certificate at the time of hire and will be subject to a 12 month probationary period.

  • All employees covered by this MOU that possess a POST Basic Certificate (i.e. lateral officers) will complete a one (1) year probationary period.

  • Sworn employees not possessing a POST Basic Certificate will complete an eighteen (18) month probationary period.

Related to POST Basic Certificate

  • Class J Certificate means any one of the Certificates with a "Class J" designation on the face thereof, substantially in the form of Exhibit A-4 attached hereto, and evidencing a portion of a class of "regular interests" in REMIC III for purposes of the REMIC Provisions.

  • Class H Certificate means any of the Certificates with a "Class H" designation on the face thereof, substantially in the form of Exhibit A-4 attached hereto, and evidencing a portion of a class of "regular interests" in REMIC III for purposes of the REMIC Provisions.

  • Class SB Certificate Any one of the Certificates designated as a Class SB Certificate. Class X Certificate: Any one of the Certificates designated as a Class X Certificate.

  • Class A-SB Certificate Any one of the Certificates with a “Class A-SB” designation on the face thereof, substantially in the form of Exhibit A-1 attached hereto, and evidencing a portion of a class of “regular interests” in REMIC III for purposes of the REMIC Provisions.

  • Class C Certificate Any one of the Certificates with a “Class C” designation on the face thereof, substantially in the form of Exhibit A-1 attached hereto, and evidencing a portion of a class of “regular interests” in REMIC III for purposes of the REMIC Provisions.
