Reference Asset definition

Reference Asset means a reference asset of the relevant Index or Investment Strategy in respect of a Series of ETP Securities as specified in the Final Terms.
Reference Asset means the Reference Asset to which the Underlying is linked. The Reference Asset is specified in § 2 of the Product and Underlying Data.
Reference Asset means an asset that is held by OpCo, or by any of its direct or indirect subsidiaries treated as a partnership or disregarded entity for purposes of the applicable Tax, at the time of an Exchange. A Reference Asset also includes any asset that is “substituted basis property” under Section 7701(a)(42) of the Code with respect to a Reference Asset.

  • Thus, for example, in determining the Hypothetical Tax Liability of Corporate Taxpayer the taxable income of Corporate Taxpayer shall be determined by treating Holdings as having sold the applicable Reference Asset for its fair market value, recovering any basis applicable to such Reference Asset (using the Non-Stepped Up Tax Basis), while the Actual Tax Liability of Corporate Taxpayer would be determined by recovering the actual Tax basis of the Reference Asset that reflects any Basis Adjustments.

Reference Asset means, with respect to any Exchange, an asset that is held by the Company, or any of its direct or indirect Subsidiaries that is treated as a partnership or disregarded entity for purposes of the applicable Tax (but only to the extent such Subsidiaries are not held through any entity treated as a corporation for purposes of the applicable Tax), at the time of such Exchange. A Reference Asset also includes any asset that is “substituted basis property” under Section 7701(a)(42) of the Code with respect to a Reference Asset.
Reference Asset means an asset of any description including a currency or currency pair or an index or as stock or other factor designated in a CFD Transaction to which reference is made to fluctuations in the value or price for the purpose of determining profits or losses under the CFD Transaction.
