Short Codes definition

Short Codes means numbers with significantly fewer digits than customer numbers. They may be used as numbers in their own right or as prefixes to other numbers for some special purpose, normally call routing purposes.
Short Codes means non-dialable numbers that are shorter than ordinary telephone numbers and which may be used, for example to access SMS- and MMS-based services, services like mobile banking, and information services like the weather forecast and news. Short codes may be “network specific” or “common” (i.e., used to access the same service from different networks).
Short Codes means a number that is not a supplementary code and has maximum of six (6) digits;

Examples of Short Codes in a sentence

  • Reserved Short Codes are short codes within the range of potential CSCs that are reserved for other purposes and therefore are not available to be used as CSCs. There are no code-specific charges associated with reserved codes.

  • If Customer is purposely infringing upon the Program Polices then Simplewire and/or the Carriers reserve the right to immediately cutoff all message activity and de-provision Short Codes.

  • Short Codes may comprise an entire UK Operator mobile telephone number.

  • Company acknowledges and agrees that T-Mobile has no control over the Short Codes issued by CTIA and that T-Mobile does not warrant that any particular Short Code will be available from CTIA for use.
