SMS Alerts definition

SMS Alerts means the service whereby if the SIP trunk becomes “non-registered” an SMS alert will be sent to a mobile number of your choice.
SMS Alerts means alerts sent by the Bank through short message service for the purpose of notifying the Customer in relation to the Customer’s access to and/or use of the Online Services.
SMS Alerts means an automated notification service which sends text messages from the Bank to a mobile phone number provided by you, including Account Alerts and Internet Banking Alerts.

  • All SMS Alerts sent by the Bank is currently provided free of charge.

  • It is advisable that the Customer deletes SMS Alerts he no longer requires in order to minimize the potential risk in case his mobile is stolen.

  • The Direct Seller agrees to receive the SMS Alerts from the company on Mobile No. mentioned/quoted above and will not object even if they are received despite of DND activated.

  • You can cancel SMS Alerts at any time by visiting the Alerts page in Digital Banking and changing your settings at an individual alert level.

  • Please be certain to review terms and conditions specific to Push Alerts and SMS Alerts (collectively “Mobile Alerts”) and Email Alerts, below.

  • Furthermore, the Bank does not warrant that any SMS Alerts or part thereof will be free of viruses or any other contamination; or that services will remain uninterrupted.


More Definitions of SMS Alerts

SMS Alerts means an automated notification service which sends text messages from the Bank to a mobile phone number provided by you.
SMS Alerts means the customized messages sent by SMS (Short Message Service) to the mobile number of the Cardholder registered with the Bank. This Service shall provide the Cardholders an alert of the approved transaction initiated from the Card. Relevant alerts will be generated only for the transactions above the pre-defined threshold set by the Bank. The Cardholder acknowledges that the SMS Alerts facility is dependent on the telecommunications infrastructure, connectivity and services within Sri Lanka. The Cardholder accepts that timeliness, of SMS Alerts sent by the Bank will depend on factors affecting the telecommunications industry. Neither the Bank nor its service providers shall be liable for non- delivery or delayed delivery of SMS Alerts, error, loss, distortion in transmission of and wrongful transmission of SMS Alerts to the Cardholder. In the event the Cardholder is travelling overseas in order to receive the SMS Alerts, the Cardholder should inform the Bank to update the roaming and/or international mobile number. The SMS Alert facility may not be available in certain countries due to relevant country/region regulatory requirements and constraints. The Bank and/or the Companies are entitled to effect any changes to the SMS Alert facility, suspend and/or terminate the SMS Alert facility, and to vary the Terms of the SMS Alert facility at any time at its sole and absolute discretion with- notice and without assigning any reason therefor and without prejudice to any of its rights of action for any antecedent breach of these Terms by the Cardholder. The Cardholder may request to terminate the use of the SMS Alert facility or alter the Cardholder details such as the mobile phone number, SMS Alert threshold, Card number by writing to the Bank or via the Call Centre of the Bank, which is subject to verification by the Bank. The Bank may take upto three (3) working days to effect the amendment /s requested by the Cardholder.
