Spring Break definition

Spring Break means the week(s) designated as spring break by the District School Board of Niagara and the Niagara Catholic District School Board.
Spring Break. The week following the end of the third marking period shall be off. Spring break dates may be changed by mutual agreement, to allow for state mandated testing.
Spring Break is the public school holiday period for the location of the office where the employee works.

  • Full-time nurse teachers shall be entitled to one additional week of vacation with pay which shall be taken at either the Spring Break or the Christmas Break.

  • During Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break and Spring Break there will be limited or no service in the dining facilities.

  • It is hereby agreed that school shall be in session during the K.N.E.A. meetings and that the two days shall be incorporated into the Spring Break.

  • Except in an emergency, observations shall not be made the day before or after Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break or Spring Break, or on conference days.

  • Sick leave used for personal reasons may not be used during the first five (5) days or the last five (5) days in which the students are in attendance, or immediately before or after the scheduled holidays of Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Winter Break, Spring Break, Memorial Day, preceding or following recognized holidays provided students are in attendance, or on a Staff Development Day as designated in the District Calendar, except in case of emergency.

Spring Break defined as 6pm last day of school to 6pm the day before school starts (Sunday).
Spring Break is a one 1-week period designated by the College. During Spring Break, the Facilities Management will determine the number and type of Bargaining unit member required to work during the week, which will be paid as straight time, and all others will be provided a paid week off (equivalent to the regularly scheduled weekly hours for full-time or part-time employees). For both part- and full-time Bargaining unit members who work during the Spring Break week, a different continuous period of occurring before the last full week of April will be mutually agreed upon with the Supervisor as paid time off. Spring Break is not defined as a "holiday'' and the additional paid time off is not considered "vacation" time, which is defined elsewhere in this Agreement.
