Trusted entity definition

Trusted entity means an independent, unbiased third party that contributes to, or provides, important security assurances that enhance the admissibility, enforceability and reliability of information in electronic form. In a public/private key system, a trusted entity registers a digitally signed data structure that binds an entity's name (or identity) with its public key.

  • Listed Entity means an entity which has listed, on a recognised stock exchange(s), the designated securities issued by it or designated securities issued under schemes managed by it, in accordance with the listing agreement entered into between the entity and the recognised stock exchange(s);

  • Permitted Entity means with respect to a Qualified Stockholder (a) a Permitted Trust (as defined below) solely for the benefit of (i) such Qualified Stockholder, (ii) one or more Family Members of such Qualified Stockholder and/or (iii) any other Permitted Entity of such Qualified Stockholder, or (b) any general partnership, limited partnership, limited liability company, corporation or other entity exclusively owned by (i) such Qualified Stockholder, (ii) one or more Family Members of such Qualified Stockholder and/or (iii) any other Permitted Entity of such Qualified Stockholder.

  • Obligated Entity means the entity mandated under clause (e) of sub- section (1) of section 86 of the Act to fulfill the renewable purchase obligation;

  • Affiliated Entity means any entity controlling, controlled by, or under common control with an Insured.

  • Approved Entity means a body corporate that is incorporated or established under the laws of an OECD member state and which, on the occurrence of the Relevant Event, has in issue Relevant Shares.
