Use of Force Report definition

Use of Force Report means a written report documenting all force above un-resisted handcuffing.
Use of Force Report means a written report documenting a use of force above unresisted handcuffing; hand control or escort techniques applied for the purposes of handcuffing; or escorts that are not used as pressure point compliance techniques, do not result in injury or complaint of injury, and are not used to overcome resistance. The Use of Force Report is comprised of a Use of Force Data Report and a Use of Force Narrative Report.
Use of Force Report means a written report documenting a use of force at Level 1 and above. The Use of Force Report includes a Use of Force Data Report and a Use of Force Narrative Report.

Examples of Use of Force Report in a sentence

  • PRPD shall develop a Use of Force Reporting Policy and Use of Force Report Form that comply with applicable law and comport with generally accepted policing practices.

  • The Use of Force Reporting Policy shall require all officers to report any use of force in writing in a Use of Force Report Form before the end of the shift.

  • The Use of Force Report shall include: (a) a detailed account of the incident from the officer’s perspective; (b) the reason for the initial police presence; (c) a specific description of the acts that led to the use of force, including the subject(s)’ behavior; (d) the level of resistance encountered; and (e) a description of every type of force used.

Related to Use of Force Report

  • Use of force means: (A) Use of a dangerous instrument; or (B) use of actual physical force or violence or superior physical strength against the victim.
