ENGAGEMENT OF RETIRED MEDICAL OFFICER - AYURVEDA ON FULL TIME CONTRACTUAL BASIS FOR ESIC MEDICAL COLLEGE & HOSPITAL, K.K. NAGAR, CHENNAI

ESIC Medical College & Hospital, K.K. ▇▇▇▇▇, Chennai proposes to engage the Retired Medical Officer - Ayurveda on Full Time contractual basis for a period of one year through walk-in interview. The details of vacancies and reservation position is as under:-

Important Instructions: -

(a) Only those candidates who are retired from Central / State Government by the Old Pension Scheme are eligible to apply for the post.

(b) All the eligible candidates are requested to appear for document verification along with filled application form as attached within the scheduled time (09.00AM – 11.00 AM) with proper protection like wearing face mask and carrying sanitizer and maintaining social distance. No candidate will be entertained to attend document verification after 11.00 AM on scheduled date as mentioned above.

(c) Only those candidates whose documents are verified will be allowed to attend walk-in interview.

(d) ▇▇▇▇, ESIC Medical College & Hospital reserves the right to vary these vacancies including increase or decrease or cancellation of filling up of any or all posts without assigning any reason.

(e) Change in date of interview, etc. if any, will be intimated on website only. Candidates are advised to check the website regularly for any updated information relating to the recruitment/engagement. Other terms and conditions are mentioned in Annexure ‘A’.

(f) The actual engagement will be subject to outcome in case of recruitment related litigations if any.

(g) In case of turnout of candidates is more than the ratio of 1:10 per post, the competent authority at their own discretion may conduct a screening test to shortlist the candidates for the interview. The screening test will consist of multiple-choice questions in the concerned discipline. The marks obtained in the screening test will not in any way be linked to the final selection process. The performance of the candidate in the interview will be the sole criteria for selecting the candidate for the respective post. Mere participation in the screening test will not confer any claim for the post. The Competent Authority may decide to conduct Screening Test and Interview on different dates considering administrative requirements.

Annexure ‘A’

Eligibility criteria and other Important Information relating to the contractual engagement is as follows:

Medical Officer - Ayurveda:

A. Essential Academic qualification to be eligible for engagement is given below:

(i) A Degree in Ayurveda from a recognized University or statutory State Board or Council or Faculty of Indian Medicine under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970 (48 of 1970).

(ii) Enrolment on the Central Register of Indian Medicine or State Register of Indian Medicine.

B. Age Limit: Not exceeding 68 years as on date of reporting for interview.

C. Emoluments: Admissible amount would be computed by deducting basic pension amount from their pay drawn at time of retirement.

D. Allowances: A fixed amount as Transport Allowance will be paid as per the rate applicable at the time of retirement or Rs.7200/-, whichever is less. No other allowances in any form shall be admissible.

General Terms and Conditions Terms of Contract:

1. The terms of contract are regulated as per the ESIC Headquarters Letter dated 20.02.2025, if ambiguity prevails in any case, the above said Headquarters Letter will prevail.

2. The above engagement will be purely on a part time contractual basis and shall be valid for a period of one year or extendable up to attaining the age of 70 years or till the appointment of regular incumbent, whichever is earlier.

3. The contractual engagement may be terminated / discontinued on either side giving seven days prior notice to this effect without assigning any reason.

4. The incumbent is eligible for 1.5 days of leave benefits for each completed month. Accumulation of leave beyond a calendar year is not permitted. In the event of overstay beyond the sanctioned leave, the contract is liable to be terminated.

5. The Medical Officers are required to mark attendance manually as well as on Aadhar Enabled Bio- metric Attendance System (AEBAS) daily during scheduled working days.

6. Since the engagement is being full time in nature, the incumbent would not be permitted to take up any other assignment during the period of contract and private practice of any kind is not permitted.

7. Rules for Reservation will be implemented as per Govt. of India instructions.

8. The Engagement shall not confer any right or preference for regular engagement.

9. The Engagement is subject to Medical Fitness.

10. No claim for any service benefits like PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical allowances, Medical benefits, Seniority, Promotion etc. will be admissible.

11. Candidate must be registered with Enrolment on the Central Register of Indian Medicine or State

Register of Indian Medicine.

12. Incumbent shall agree for deployment in ESIC Hospital/Dispensaries/DCBO and shall function under direct control of Medical Superintendent, ESIC Hospital and IMO I/c, ESIC Dispensary and DIMS respectively and shall agree to any other duty assigned by the controlling authorities without any additional/ extra allowance.

13. No TA/DA will be admissible for interview or joining.

14. The ▇▇▇▇ has the discretion to increase/decrease the number of vacancies depending on actual requirement or to cancel this recruitment or to withdraw offer of engagement.

15. The Medical Officer - Ayurveda so selected will be required to submit acceptance/consent letter in writing before appearing for medical examination.

16. The doctor at any time is unable to address the assigned works and found guilty of any gross misconduct or negligence of his/her duties shall be terminated without any notice or payment in lieu of the notice period.

17. Selected candidate will have to join duty on or before the date indicated in the offer of engagement issued.

18. Selected candidates to produce any service records required so by the Competent Authority of ESIC.

19. The Medical Officer - Ayurveda so engaged will be required to enter into a contractual agreement for the purpose on a stamp paper of Rs.100/-

A Demand Draft for Rs.500/- (as applicable) in favour of ‘ESI Fund Account No.1’ drawn on any scheduled bank payable at Chennai has to be submitted along with application form at the time of document verification cum walk-in Interview.

Note:

(i) Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

(ii) Only Demand Draft drawn on any Scheduled Bank will be accepted. Application fee Paid by any other mode will not be accepted.

(iii) The Demand Draft must be issued after the date of issue of this advertisement.

The following testimonials should be submitted at the time of walk-in-interview:

(i) Two copy of recent self-attested passport size photograph.

(ii) Self-attested copies of certificates and testimonials in support of proof of age (Date of Birth), Educational Qualification, Experience etc.

(iii) Original certificates and testimonials in support of proof of age (Date of Birth), Educational Qualification, Experience etc., should be submitted at the time of interview.

(iv)Pension Payment Order and Pension Book with the details of last pay drawn at the time of retirement.

(v) Certificate issued by competent medical board in respect of Persons with ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ Disabilities.

(vi)Candidates seeking reservation benefits under SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD category must ensure that they are entitled to such reservation as per eligibility prescribed in the notice and as per the instructions issued by Govt. of India. They should also produce original certificates in the prescribed format of Govt. of India in support of their claim.

(vii)The selected candidates should submit Police Verification Certificate at the time of joining.

Selection Procedure:

(i) The selection will be made on the basis of performance of the candidate in interview before the Selection Board.

(ii) Result will be communicated through e-mail and will be displayed on website.

(iii) Selected candidates will have to join immediately after receipt of the offer of engagement.

General Instructions:

(i) Mere submission of application does not confer any right to the candidate to be eligible for interview unless they report on the scheduled date and time.

(ii) Application should be submitted in the prescribed format only (Annexure – B). The applications submitted in any other format OR incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.

(iii) The candidates may ascertain their eligibility and report for interview on the scheduled date and time for interview. Candidates reporting after scheduled time will not be allowed to attend the interview process.

(iv) ESIC reserves the right to cancel the engagement process at any stage at its discretion and such decision will be binding on all concerned.

(v) Wrong declarations/submission of false information or any other action contrary to law shall lead to cancellation of the candidature at any stage in addition to suitable legal action.

(vi) Opportunity for appearing in the interview given to the candidates is purely on provisional. Joining of the candidates will be subject to detailed scrutiny of eligibility conditions/production of prescribed certificates in case of reservation.
