Access & Hybrid Journal Publishing Fees a. Maynooth University, as agent on behalf of the Members shall pay a single, annual, non- refundable commitment fee for the Access Right for the Licensed Materials included under SCHEDULE 2: Licensed Material and for the Hybrid Journal Publishing Right during each Contract Year specified below (the “Annual Access & Hybrid Journal Publishing Fee”), as follows: Contract Year One Contract Year Two Contract Year Three Applicable Time Period 2022 2023 2024 Article Entitlement per Contract Year 660 670 680 Annual Access & Hybrid Journal Publishing Fee per Contract Year €1,930,563.12 €1,935,380.01 €1,941,691.41 b. Maynooth University shall pay said fee in accordance with the relevant invoice. Wiley will include an estimated itemized split of the Annual Access & Hybrid Journal Publishing Fee in the Invoice Agreement Letter under Section 8 and will provide a final itemized split for the previous Contract Year no later than January 14 of the subsequent Contract Year. Maynooth University will manage the Article Entitlement for all Members on a first-come, first-served basis. Nothing should be assumed from the single fee applied for access and publishing rights. The Article Entitlement for each Contract Year does not roll over into a subsequent Contract Year and expires at the end of the final Contract Year. c. If the Article Entitlement is exceeded in any year, Customer may choose an author-pays route. Customer must notify Wiley through the online form provided. If Wiley in its discretion accepts the request, Wiley will implement an author-pays route with an APC discount of 10% on any overage.
Access & Hybrid Journal Publishing Fees. D.1.a. Customer shall pay a single, annual, non-refundable commitment fee for the Access Right for the Licensed Electronic Products granted under Appendix B and for the Hybrid Journal Publishing Right during each Contract Year, as specified in the table set forth in Appendix D . D.1.b. Customer will pay the Annual Access & Hybrid Journal Publishing Fee in accordance with the relevant invoice. D.1.b.1. Nothing should be assumed from the single fee applied for access and publishing rights. D.1.▇. ▇▇▇▇▇ is permitted to allocate the revenues received under this Agreement to its portfolio of journals as it deems appropriate. D.1.d. Full open access journals and scope of the Agreement. While the current agreement focuses on Hybrid Journal portfolio, both the Consortium and Wiley find it important to investigate options to include full open access journals in future contracts. During the Term of the Agreement, parties will discuss this on strategic level at least once a year. If this leads to a mutual view on sustainable open access services, parties can decide to start negotiating the terms of an agreement in addition to the current Agreement or replacing the current one.
Access & Hybrid Journal Publishing Fees. 5.1.a. The Article Entitlement for each Contract Year does not roll over into a subsequent Contract Year and expires at the end of final Contract Year. Payments shall be made within 120 days of the Lead Institution’s receipt of a documented, correct and undisputed invoice from Wiley issued no earlier than January 1 of each Contract Year. 5.1.c. If the Article Entitlement is exceeded in any year, Customer may choose to create a new, centralized (at Consortium level) WOAA (the “Post-Paid WOAA”) to cover APCs for additional Hybrid articles at a discount of 15%, until 31st December of the same Contract Year. The amount covered through the WOAA will be invoiced and paid after the final article is approved and the WOAA closed. Customer must notify Wiley through the online form provided, requesting the creation of the Post-Paid WOAA. Wiley at its discretion may accept the request, set up the Post-Paid WOAA, and then invoice Customer for the amount covered once the WOAA is closed. The additional article coverage is subject to the terms of this Agreement for Eligible Articles and is only for those articles received into the workflow from the creation date of the Post-Paid WOAA until 31st December of same Contract Year. In each case utilization of this Section 5.1.c. can be triggered only if it would be fully compliant with the applicable law regulating public procurements.

Customers shall pay a single, annual, non-refundable commitment fee for the Access Right for the Licensed Electronic Products included under Appendix B and for the Hybrid Journal Publishing Right during each Contract Year (the “Total Fees”) as specified in Appendix A. The Member Institutions and CSIC shall pay their respective Annual Access & Hybrid Journal Publishing Fees in accordance with the relevant invoice. Wiley shall invoice the Member Institutions separately as per the allocated Total Fees distribution set forth in Appendix A; and CSIC separately for their allocated Article Entitlement and Total Fees as set forth in Appendix A. CRUE will manage the Article Entitlement for its Member Institutions on a first-come, first-served basis, and CSIC will manage their Article Entitlement. Nothing should be assumed from the single fee applied for access and publishing rights. The Article Entitlement for each Contract Year does not roll over into a subsequent Contract Year and expires at the end of final Contract Year (Contract Year Three). 5.1.c. If the Article Entitlement is exceeded in any year, Customers may choose to deposit funds into a new WOAA to cover APCs for additional articles, at a discount of 15%. Customers must notify Wiley through the online form provided, requesting the amount of funds to be deposited. Wiley in its discretion may accept the request, set up the new WOAA, and then invoice the Customer for the additional article coverage subject to the terms of this Agreement for Eligible Articles. The amount for each additional article APC will be levied in the same manner as Gold Journal articles described below.

Customer will pay the Annual Access & Hybrid Journal Publishing Fee in accordance with the relevant invoice. i. Nothing should be assumed from the single fee applied for access and publishing rights.
