Accrual of Additional Interest Sample Clauses

The Accrual of Additional Interest clause defines the conditions under which extra interest charges will accumulate on an outstanding balance, typically when a payment is overdue or an obligation is not met. In practice, this clause specifies the rate at which additional interest will be calculated, the period over which it accrues, and the triggering events such as late payments or defaults. Its core function is to incentivize timely payments and compensate the lender or party owed for the increased risk or inconvenience caused by delays, thereby helping to enforce compliance with payment terms.
