Activated Clause Samples

The 'Activated' clause defines the point at which certain rights, obligations, or provisions within an agreement become effective. Typically, this clause specifies a triggering event—such as the signing of the contract, delivery of goods, or completion of a milestone—that causes the relevant terms to take effect. For example, payment obligations might only be activated once a service is delivered, or warranties may become active upon installation of equipment. The core function of this clause is to provide clarity and certainty about when specific contractual terms start to apply, thereby preventing disputes over timing and ensuring both parties understand their responsibilities.
