Common use of Additional Skills or Training Clause in Contracts

Additional Skills or Training. It is possible that an employee has an additional skill or certification of particular value to the County which is related to the department’s goals and objectives. If applicable, the employee, through their department head should provide justification for review by the Human Resources Director of said specific skills or training. They may be awarded points if they contribute to mission success. If they are determined to qualify, a maximum of 5 points are possible, one point for each skill or two points for additional training, above the minimum qualifications of their job. Examples may include:  A Building Inspector who also holds a plans examiner license. ▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇.  ▇▇▇, ▇▇, MCSE certifications, etc. 2 Points each.  An accredited degree above the minimum qualifications for the position. 2 Points.  Considerable knowledge and proven application of construction principles, methods, and materials, as well as of unsafe building code enforcement, etc. 1 Point.  Demonstrated proficiency in specific computer programs such as C++ HTML, Business Objects, etc. 1 Point each.
