Addressing Concerns. If I encounter difficult or uncomfortable situations—including those associated with inadequate COVID-19 safety precautions and/or issues of racism and discrimination—or should a problem arise between the agency and myself, I will notify my community partner supervisor, CS-L staff, and/or my faculty as soon as possible. CS-L prepares students to create more just, equitable, and sustainable communities. We do that through facilitating direct community engagement, enhancing capacity of community organizations and advocating for positive change. Racism undermines our efforts for a fair and just community at every level of society. Addressing Concerns. A. Both the District and the Union recognize the importance ongoing communication and collaboration play in the overall educational experience for our students. With that in mind, the District will provide a forum to hear the concerns of each building annually. Any concern can always be addressed by contacting the building principal and/or superintendent. This could include concerns such as class size, curriculum, work environment, etc.

Addressing Concerns. 6.1 Any Committee member may record a concern on behalf of the stakeholder interests he/she represents. The Regional Partnership Committee as a whole is responsible for ensuring resolution of the concern. 6.2 The procedures for dealing with a concern are as follows: 6.2.1 Where the Committee receives a concern the details must be lodged through the secretariat with the Committee. 6.2.2 The Committee will discuss the concern as a priority and associated responses or actions will be completed in a timely, thorough and fair manner, as appropriate having regard to the nature of the concern. 6.2.3 The Committee will ensure that sufficient information and data are gathered to enable a thorough investigation and response and ensure that actions agreed are recorded and carried out. 6.2.4 Where a concern cannot be satisfactorily resolved the Committee may appoint an independent, appropriately qualified person to review the issue and advise on the most appropriate course of action to resolve the issue. 6.2.5 The Committee should accept the recommendation of the independent advisor.

Willful falsification, distortion, or misrepresentation with respect to any facts related to the project is a violation of Federal law. To prevent any misunderstanding regarding the seriousness of these and similar acts, Form FHWA-1022 shall be posted on each Federal-aid highway project (23 CFR 635) in one or more places where it is readily available to all persons concerned with the project: 18 U.S.C. 1020 reads as follows: "Whoever, being an officer, agent, or employee of the United States, or of any State or Territory, or whoever, whether a person, association, firm, or corporation, knowingly makes any false statement, false representation, or false report as to the character, quality, quantity, or cost of the material used or to be used, or the quantity or quality of the work performed or to be performed, or the cost thereof in connection with the submission of plans, maps, specifications, contracts, or costs of construction on any highway or related project submitted for approval to the Secretary of Transportation; or Whoever knowingly makes any false statement, false representation, false report or false claim with respect to the character, quality, quantity, or cost of any work performed or to be performed, or materials furnished or to be furnished, in connection with the construction of any highway or related project approved by the Secretary of Transportation; or Whoever knowingly makes any false statement or false representation as to material fact in any statement, certificate, or report submitted pursuant to provisions of the Federal-aid Roads Act approved July 1, 1916, (39 Stat. 355), as amended and supplemented; Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 5 years or both."

  • Information Concerning Deposits at Bank (a) Under U.S. federal law, deposit accounts that the Customer maintains in Bank’s foreign branches (outside of the U.S.) are not insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. In the event of Bank’s liquidation, foreign branch deposits have a lesser preference than U.S. deposits, and such foreign deposits are subject to cross-border risks. (b) Bank’s London Branch is a participant in the UK Financial Services Compensation Scheme (the "FSCS"), and the following terms apply to the extent any amount standing to the credit of the Cash Account is deposited in one or more deposit accounts at Bank’s London Branch. The terms of the FSCS offer protection in connection with deposits to certain types of claimants to whom Bank’s London Branch provides services in the event that they suffer a financial loss as a direct consequence of Bank’s London Branch being unable to meet any of its obligations and, subject to the FSCS rules regarding eligible deposits, the Customer may have a right to claim compensation from the FSCS. Subject to the FSCS rules, the maximum compensation payable by the FSCS, as at the date of this Agreement, in relation to eligible deposits is £85,000. (c) In the event that Bank incurs a loss attributable to Country Risk with respect to any cash balance it maintains on deposit at a Subcustodian or other correspondent bank in regard to its global custody or trust businesses in the country where the Subcustodian or other correspondent bank is located, Bank may set such loss off against Customer’s Cash Account to the extent that such loss is directly attributable to Customer’s investments in that market.
