Advanced Step Hiring Sample Clauses

The Advanced Step Hiring clause allows an employer to offer a new hire a starting salary above the minimum step of the applicable pay scale, based on the candidate’s qualifications or experience. In practice, this means that if a candidate possesses exceptional skills, prior relevant experience, or hard-to-fill expertise, the employer can place them at a higher pay step within the salary range for the position. This clause is primarily used to attract highly qualified candidates and to remain competitive in the job market, ensuring the employer can secure top talent when standard entry-level compensation may not be sufficient.
Advanced Step Hiring. In hiring at an advanced step, credit shall be given on a uniform basis for prior experience in the classification for which hires up to the longevity step. A newly hired employee cannot be paid more than a current employee with comparable relevant years of professional experience and/or licensure or certification.
Advanced Step Hiring. If the General Manager finds that qualified applicants have greater experience or competencies than required at the first step of the salary range, the General Manager can extend an offer higher than the first step.
Advanced Step Hiring. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Board of Trustees, in their sole and absolute discretion, may upon recommendation from the Fire Chief, make an original appointment at the rank of Firefighter at the second or third Step, provided a new hire has five (5) years of previous full time service within a Fire Department located in the State of Ohio.
Advanced Step Hiring. The Employer may authorize applicants to participate in Advanced Step Hiring, if needed, for recruiting purposes, or other legitimate reason at the time of hire. The approval to participate, or not to participate, in Advanced Step Hiring will not be subject to the grievance procedure by the employee, once hired. Conditions for eligibility are set forth below. (a) Starting pay for an applicant approved for Advanced Step Hiring will be based upon the applicant’s number of previous years of qualified experience, as determined by the Employer. Employees brought in under this program can be brought in at any step of the wages scale in Article 45, as deemed appropriate by the Employer. (b) New employees participating in Advanced Step Hiring shall serve a probationary period as outlined in Article 27, Section 27.
Advanced Step Hiring. In the event the City utilizes its discretion to hire an experienced officer, the officer will be placed at the applicable step between “the less than one full year” step and the “five or more full years” step. The new hire will not be placed at a step above the “five full years” step. Employees hired at a step higher than the “less than one full year” step will progress through the steps annually, on their anniversary date, moving to the next step until such time that they have reached the top pay regardless of years of service with the Springboro Police Department.

  • Agreement with Respect to Continuation of Group Health Plan Coverage for Former Employees of the Failed Bank (a) The Assuming Institution agrees to assist the Receiver, as provided in this Section 4.12, in offering individuals who were employees or former employees of the Failed Bank, or any of its Subsidiaries, and who, immediately prior to Bank Closing, were receiving, or were eligible to receive, health insurance coverage or health insurance continuation coverage from the Failed Bank ("Eligible Individuals"), the opportunity to obtain health insurance coverage in the Corporation's FIA Continuation Coverage Plan which provides for health insurance continuation coverage to such Eligible Individuals who are qualified beneficiaries of the Failed Bank as defined in Section 607 of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, as amended (respectively, "qualified beneficiaries" and "ERISA"). The Assuming Institution shall consult with the Receiver and not later than five (5) Business Days after Bank Closing shall provide written notice to the Receiver of the number (if available), identity (if available) and addresses (if available) of the Eligible Individuals who are qualified beneficiaries of the Failed Bank and for whom a "qualifying event" (as defined in Section 603 of ERISA) has occurred and with respect to whom the Failed Bank's obligations under Part 6 of Subtitle B of Title I of ERISA have not been satisfied in full, and such other information as the Receiver may reasonably require. The Receiver shall cooperate with the Assuming Institution in order to permit it to prepare such notice and shall provide to the Assuming Institution such data in its possession as may be reasonably required for purposes of preparing such notice. (b) The Assuming Institution shall take such further action to assist the Receiver in offering the Eligible Individuals who are qualified beneficiaries of the Failed Bank the opportunity to obtain health insurance coverage in the Corporation's FIA Continuation Coverage Plan as the Receiver may direct. All expenses incurred and paid by the Assuming Institution (i) in connection with the obligations of the Assuming Institution under this Section 4.12, and (ii) in providing health insurance continuation coverage to any Eligible Individuals who are hired by the Assuming Institution and such employees' qualified beneficiaries shall be borne by the Assuming Institution. (c) No later than five (5) Business Days after Bank Closing, the Assuming Institution shall provide the Receiver with a list of all Failed Bank employees the Assuming Institution will not hire. Unless otherwise agreed, the Assuming Institution pays all salaries and payroll costs for all Failed Bank Employees until the list is provided to the Receiver. The Assuming Institution shall be responsible for all costs and expenses (i.e. salary, benefits, etc.) associated with all other employees not on that list from and after the date of delivery of the list to the Receiver. The Assuming Institution shall offer to the Failed Bank employees it retains employment benefits comparable to those the Assuming Institution offers its current employees. (d) This Section 4.12 is for the sole and exclusive benefit of the parties to this Agreement, and for the benefit of no other Person (including any former employee of the Failed Bank or any Subsidiary thereof or qualified beneficiary of such former employee). Nothing in this Section 4.12 is intended by the parties, or shall be construed, to give any Person (including any former employee of the Failed Bank or any Subsidiary thereof or qualified beneficiary of such former employee) other than the Corporation, the Receiver and the Assuming Institution any legal or equitable right, remedy or claim under or with respect to the provisions of this Section.

  • RELATED EMPLOYERS If any member of the Employer's related group (as defined in Section 1.30 of the Plan) executes a Participation Agreement to this Adoption Agreement, such member's Employees are eligible to participate in this Plan, unless excluded by reason of an exclusion classification elected under this Adoption Agreement Section

  • Health Spending Account contributions by the Executive will cease on the Effective Date. The Executive may submit claims against the balance accrued to the Effective Date, until the end of the calendar year in which the Effective Date occurs.

  • Permitted Withdrawals from the Collection Account The Servicer may, from time to time, withdraw funds from the Collection Account for the following purposes: (i) to reimburse itself for Advances made pursuant to Section 6.03 (including amounts to reimburse the related Sub-Servicer for advances made pursuant to the applicable Sub-Servicing Agreement), the Servicer's and the Sub-Servicer's right to receive reimbursement pursuant to this subclause (i) being limited to amounts received on particular Mortgage Loans which represent Late Collections (net of the Servicing Fees) with respect to those particular Mortgage Loans; (ii) to pay itself the Servicing Fee; (iii) to reimburse itself for unreimbursed Servicing Advances, or to pay the related Sub-Servicer any unreimbursed Servicing Advances, the Servicer's right to receive reimbursement or make payments to the Sub-Servicer pursuant to this subclause (iii) with respect to any Mortgage Loan being limited to related Liquidation Proceeds, Insurance Proceeds, and condemnation awards; (iv) to reimburse itself (or the related Sub-Servicer) or the Depositor for expenses incurred by and recoverable by or reimbursable to it pursuant to Section 5.01 or 5.16; (v) to reimburse itself (or the related Sub-Servicer) for any Nonrecoverable Advances; (vi) to pay to itself (or the related Sub-Servicer) income earned on the investment of funds deposited in the Collection Account; (vii) to make deposits into the Certificate Account in the amounts and in the manner provided for herein; (viii) to make payments to itself or others pursuant to any provision of this Agreement, and to clear and terminate the Collection Account upon the termination of this Agreement; and (ix) to withdraw amounts deposited in error.
