Aggregate Principal Amount of Notes Clause Samples

The "Aggregate Principal Amount of Notes" clause defines the total face value of all notes issued under a particular agreement or offering. This clause specifies the maximum sum that can be outstanding at any one time, often setting a cap on the total debt the issuer can incur through these notes. For example, if a company issues multiple tranches of notes, the aggregate principal amount ensures the combined value does not exceed a predetermined limit. Its core function is to provide clarity and control over the issuer’s total borrowing, thereby protecting both the issuer and investors from excessive indebtedness.
