AGREEMENT AND PURPOSE. 1.1 This Agreement is between the City of Trenton, Ohio, hereinafter referred to as the "Employer," and the Ohio Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association, hereinafter referred to as the "Union," a labor organization as defined in Chapter 4117 of the Ohio Revised Code. 1.2 This Agreement is made for the purpose of promoting cooperation and continuous harmonious relations between the Employer, its Employees, and the Union. 1.3 The provisions of this Agreement shall be applied equally to all Employees in the bargaining unit without discrimination as to age, sex, race, color, religion, disability, sexual orientation, national origin, membership or non-membership in the Union, or any other class or characteristic protected by applicable law.
