These schedules provide a family friendly work environment, and employees may use such schedules to improve productivity and the quality of life that encourages job orientation instead of time orientation. The Agency can improve productivity through reduced tardiness, short-term absences, achievement of quieter hours at the beginning and end of the workdays, reduced commuting times, and enhanced employee morale. Employees can improve their quality of life through control over their personal working situations. It also provides a greater opportunity for employees to participate in the Wellness Program activities as well as community, family, and leisure activities.
