AM Sunday. Employees may be required to work in excess of their normal workweek. Employees who are in on-call status, must maintain and submit a legitimate telephone number to their supervisor. AM Sunday. Any hours worked past midnight Saturday on a workday that commenced on Saturday will be deemed to have been worked in the work week in which the workday commenced. A workday is defined as the twenty- four-(24) hour period commencing at the start of an employee's first scheduled shift on a calendar day. AM Sunday. Where alternate work schedules are established in accordance with the provisions outlined below, alternative beginning and ending work weeks may be established by the department head on either Monday or Friday for the purpose of minimizing overtime liability. The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has certified UPEC as ABona Fide@ for a 7(b) exception under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) for a "basis other than 40 hours in 7 days" for overtime computation. The County will reconcile actual hours worked against the requirements of the FLSA on an annual (2080 hours) basis. This allows for overtime period as cited in certain sections below.

  • Sunday Employees at the Maine State Prison shall be eligible for a weekend differential of fifty cents ($.50) per hour to the base for shifts beginning between 8:30 p.m. Friday and 8:29 p.m. Sunday.

  • Saturday and Sunday assignments shall be voluntary, either as a part of a regular load or as an overload, and shall not be used for load adjustment except by mutual consent of the first-level manager and the bargaining unit member.

  • Saturday Sunday and designated paid holidays shall not be counted in determining the time within which any action is to be taken or completed under the grievance procedure.

  • Holiday Falling on Saturday or Sunday For an employee whose normal workweek is from Monday to Friday and when any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday will be deemed to be the holiday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies), will be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Holidays on Saturday or Sunday When a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding workday not a holiday shall be deemed to be that holiday. When a holiday falls on Sunday, the following workday not a holiday shall be deemed to be that holiday.
