AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT (▇▇▇. The U.S. Department of Defense is committed to making its electronic and information technologies accessible to individuals with disabilities in accordance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (Title 29 U.S.C. § 794d), as amended. Within these regulations, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 establishes rules to ensure information and communication technology (ICT) is accessible. Section 508 was recently refreshed, and the Revised 508 Standards are effective for federal agencies as of January 18, 2018. The GCSS-MC software shall be compliant with Section 508 of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
