Amount of Time Off Sample Clauses

The "Amount of Time Off" clause defines the specific quantity of leave or vacation days an employee is entitled to during their employment. It typically outlines the number of days or hours available, how this time is accrued (such as monthly or annually), and may address whether unused time can be carried over or forfeited. This clause ensures both parties have a clear understanding of leave entitlements, helping to prevent disputes and manage expectations regarding time away from work.
Amount of Time Off. (a) Time off instead of payment for overtime is based on the number of ordinary hours equivalent to the appropriate overtime rates for the hours worked. (b) By mutual agreement between Australia Post and the individual employee, the employee may be paid at ordinary rates for the time worked and take time off equivalent to the rate of the residual penalty payment.
Amount of Time Off. 6.1. The amount of time off to undertake trade union duties is that which is reasonable in all the circumstances. The ACAS Code of Practice offers the following guidance: “Trade unions should be aware of the wide variety of difficulties and operational requirements to be taken into account by employers when seeking or agreeing arrangements for time off”
Amount of Time Off. 2.1 Full-time paid release will be granted to the Union Branch Officials /GMB Branch Chief Convenors as previously agreed at the EJCC. This will be reviewed each year based on the total number of Union members within the Council as follows: One for each of the Unions APEX, TGWU, UNISON, the Joint Union Building Convenor and two from the GMB union. When appointed, these will be notified to the Council by the Regional Official of the Trade Union concerned. Once notification is received that person will be released within a period of time equivalent to the minimum notice period required by their contract of employment. If the person ceases to occupy the Trade Union appointment they will return to their former post, and be subject to the terms and conditions of that post. 2.2 Overall Union memberships shall be reviewed by the Borough Personnel Officer in April of each year and reported for information to the first available Employee JCC meeting. In order for this to be effective, Unions will notify the Borough Personnel Officer in March of each year the total numbers of their membership who are in the employment of the Council. 2.3 The time-off arrangements are restricted to the Union Branch Officials/Convenors. It is not intended therefore, that the time-off arrangements shall be transferable during periods of temporary absence of up to 2 weeks for holidays, sickness etc. However, should the need arise, the matter will be sympathetically considered by the Borough Personnel Officer in consultation with the relevant Chief Officers. 2.4 As these time-off facilities involve the Union Branch Officials/Convenors in duties in any department of the Council, their regular facility time may be charged to a central expenditure code which can be obtained from The Borough Personnel Officer. It therefore follows that the departments concerned may engage temporary employees to replace those who have regular time-off under this Agreement.
