An Indigenous. Australian employee who is required by the University to perform cultural duties as part of their role will have this reasonably recognised in their workload.
An Indigenous. Language Allowance will be paid to a staff member who is accredited to a fluent level in a recognised Indigenous Australian language by a relevant body and who is required by the University to utilise that language on a regular basis in the course of her/his duties. The allowance has two levels: Level I – elementary level – appropriate for staff members who are capable of using a minimal knowledge of language for basic conversation; and Level IIadvanced level – representing a level of ability for the ordinary purpose of general business, formal conversation, reading and writing. Part time staff will be paid on a pro rata basis. The amounts payable are set out in Schedule 4. A13.1 [Supervisor training] A staff member who is appointed to a position with supervisory responsibilities will be required to undertake appropriate training unless agreed otherwise on the basis that the staff member demonstrates evidence of recent equivalent training/experience. A13.2 [Academic staff] The supervisor of an academic staff member will normally be the ▇▇▇▇ or Deputy ▇▇▇▇ of the School in which the staff member is employed. An academic staff member may request the nomination of an alternative supervisor. A14.1 [Salary Increases] The University will pay a salary increase to all staff members bound by this Agreement, as per the following instalments and dates:

  • Indigenous Peoples ownership and custody of their heritage is collective, permanent, and inalienable as prescribed by the customs, rules, and practices of each people.

  • CHILD LABOUR The Supplier represents and warrants that neither it nor any of its affiliates is engaged in any practice inconsistent with the rights set forth in the Convention on the Rights of the Child, including Article 32 thereof, which, inter alia, requires that a child shall be protected from performing any work that is likely to be hazardous or to interfere with the child's education, or to be harmful to the child's health or physical, mental, spiritual, moral or social development. Any breach of this representation and warranty shall entitle UNDP to terminate this Purchase Order immediately upon notice to the Supplier, without any liability for termination charges or any other liability of any kind of UNDP.

  • HEALTH AND WELFARE 36.01 Health and welfare benefits shall be as contained in Appendix "A" of this Agreement and shall form part of this Agreement.

  • HEALTH & WELFARE 16:1 The parties signatory hereto shall enter into a Health and Welfare Plan for which there is a Trust Agreement, known as the Line Construction Benefit Fund, for the purpose of providing insurance benefits for eligible employees and/or their dependents. Effective the first of the month following the signature date of this Agreement, the Employer shall pay to the Line Construction Benefit Fund the sum of $6.50 for each hour worked. Hours worked shall be deemed to include straight-time hours worked, overtime hours worked, and report time not worked. Remittance shall be forwarded to the place designated by the parties hereto on or before the fifteenth (15th) day of each month for each hour worked in weekly payroll periods ending during the preceding month, together with a monthly payroll report on a form to be furnished to the Employer. It is understood and intended by the parties to this Agreement that the purpose of this clause is to establish an Employer financed Health and Welfare Trust and that contributions thereto shall not be deemed to be wages to which any employee shall have any right other than the right to have such contributions paid over to the Trust fund in accordance herewith. Failure of an individual Employer to make all payments provided for, including liquidated damages for late payments, within the time specified, shall be a breach of this Agreement and will further require action by the Trustees as set forth in the Trust Agreement. Any increase in the required contributions set forth above will be paid equally (50% by the Employer and 50% by the Employee). The amount paid by the Employee will come from their NEAP contribution. 16:2 HRA: Effective the first of the month following the signature date of this Agreement, the Employer also agrees to pay into the Line Construction Benefit Fund $1.00 per hour through the term of this Agreement. HRA is calculated on all hours worked for all working classifications covered by this Agreement. These contributions shall be used to provide Health Reimbursements Accounts(s) under the Line Construction Benefit Fund Plan of Benefits.

  • Influenza Vaccine Upon recommendation of the Medical Officer of Health, all employees shall be required, on an annual basis to be vaccinated and or to take antiviral medication for influenza. If the costs of such medication are not covered by some other sources, the Employer will pay the cost for such medication. If the employee fails to take the required medication, she may be placed on an unpaid leave of absence during any influenza outbreak in the home until such time as the employee has been cleared by the public health or the Employer to return to the work environment. The only exception to this would be employees for whom taking the medication will result in the employee being physically ill to the extent that she cannot attend work. Upon written direction from the employee’s physician of such medical condition in consultation with the Employer’s physician, (if requested), the employee will be permitted to access their sick bank, if any, during any outbreak period. If there is a dispute between the physicians, the employee will be placed on unpaid leave. If the employee gets sick as a reaction to the drug and applies for WSIB the Employer will not oppose the application. If an employee is pregnant and her physician believes the pregnancy could be in jeopardy as a result of the influenza inoculation and/or the antiviral medication she shall be eligible for sick leave in circumstances where she is not allowed to attend at work as a result of an outbreak. This clause shall be interpreted in a manner consistent with the Ontario Human Rights Code.
