Application for Personal Leave. Reasonable and legitimate requests for Personal Leave will be approved subject to available credits. Subject to subclause 46.2 the Employer may grant Personal Leave in the following circumstances: (a) where the Employee is ill or injured; (b) to provide care or support to a member of the Employee’s family or household who requires care or support because of an illness or injury to the member; or an unexpected emergency affecting the member; (c) for unanticipated matters of a compassionate or pressing nature which arise without notice and require immediate attention; or (d) by prior approval of the Employer, having regard for agency requirements and the needs of the Employee, planned matters where arrangements cannot be organised outside of normal working hours or be accommodated by the utilisation of flexible working hours or other leave. Planned Personal Leave will not be approved for regular ongoing situations.
