APPRENTICE PAY. An apprentice mechanic shall be paid as per the BC Apprenticeship requirements and shall accrue seniority as a Journeyman mechanic upon the successful completion of their third year.

APPRENTICE PAY. (a) Tile Layer Apprentices shall be paid not more than the following percentages of the total taxable wages of a Journeyman as follows: 1 year 1st 30 days 60% 2nd thru 6th month 60% 2nd 6 months 65% 2nd year 3rd 6 months 70% 4th 6 months 75% 3rd year 5th 6 months 80% 6th 6 months 85% 4th year 7th 6 months 90% 8th 6 months 95% (b) Finisher Apprentices shall be paid not more than the following percentages of the total gross wages of a Journeyman as follows: 1st year 1st 6 months 60% 2nd 6 months 70% 2nd year 3rd 6 months 75% 4th 6 months 80% 3rd year 5th 6 months 85% 6th 6 months 90% After the first thirty (30) days the (journeyperson’s) Health and Welfare contribution will be paid on the apprentice’s behalf, plus dues check-off during this period. At the end of the first 6th month period the International Pension, Apprenticeship Fund, International Masonry Institute Fund, Local Pension and Construction Industry Service Program (CISP), shall be paid on the apprentice. In the first two (2) years of apprenticeship the apprentice is not covered on the Vacation Plan, and no deductions shall be made for same.
