APPRENTICE WAGES – RESTRICTIONS. Section 1. Apprentices shall be employed in conformity with the Labor Code of the State of California governing the employment of apprentices. Apprentices shall be employed in accordance with the Apprenticeship Standards and be subject to the Local Joint Apprenticeship Committee composed of representatives of the MCA and Union of the I.U. of B.A.C. covering the jurisdiction of the Local Union where the Apprentice is employed. Section 2. A qualified employer may employ one apprentice when at least one (1) journeyman is regularly employed, and one additional apprentice for each five (5) additional journeymen. Section 3. Contractors will pay Health & Welfare, Local Pension, I.U. Pension, Industry Fund and Apprenticeship Fund. Section 4. Apprentices shall receive the hourly wage rates as listed in "Attachment 1, Table 4". Apprentice wage rates (Periods 1 thru 7): Section 5.
