Architect and Contractor Clause Samples

The 'Architect and Contractor' clause defines the roles, responsibilities, and relationship between the architect and the contractor within a construction project. Typically, this clause outlines the architect's authority to issue instructions, review work, and certify payments, while specifying the contractor's obligation to perform the work according to the plans and specifications provided. By clearly delineating duties and lines of communication, this clause helps prevent misunderstandings and disputes, ensuring that both parties understand their obligations and the process for addressing issues that arise during the project.
