ARCHITECT or ENGINEER. The architect, engineers and other professional consultants under contract to the AOC to provide design and construction documentation, and construction administration services for the project.
ARCHITECT or ENGINEER of Record. The term “Architect of Record” or “Engineer of Record” shall mean the specific University-approved Design Professional named in the applicable written Authorization who is the Design Professional's designated principal or staff member in charge of providing all services required by this Agreement.
ARCHITECT or ENGINEER. Where the term "Architect" occurs, it shall refer to an individual who is licensed to practice architecture in the State of Texas, and who is authorized by the Owner to administer this contract. Unless otherwise stated, "Architect" refers to the City of Arlington Construction Manager or his authorized representative.

A sole proprietor, partnership, firm, corporation or other business organization under Contract with the Owner, commissioned to prepare Contract Drawings and Specifications, to advise the Owner and in certain cases, to perform regular inspections during construction and when authorized to perform the duties of the Owner’s Representative.

If the Project is not designed or administered by an Architect or Engineer, Contractor agrees (a) that Contractor will construct the Project Agreement in accordance with design guidelines provided to Contractor by the UNF representative, and (b) that the Owner’s representative shall be vested with the authority of the architect in administration of the Work, including inspection and approval of the Work and approval or disapproval of Contractor’s Application for Payment.
