Archiving and Reuse Clause Samples

The "Archiving and Reuse" clause defines the rights and procedures regarding the storage and future use of materials, data, or documents generated during the course of an agreement. Typically, this clause specifies whether parties can retain copies of deliverables for their records, and under what conditions such materials may be reused in other projects or contexts. For example, it may allow a service provider to archive work for portfolio purposes or restrict the client from reusing proprietary templates. The core function of this clause is to clarify ownership and permissible future uses of work products, thereby preventing disputes over intellectual property and ensuring both parties understand their ongoing rights and obligations.
