Art History. The Department of Art History offers courses in the history of painting, sculpture, architecture, graphic and decorative arts, design, photography and film. A major in this department requires 33 credits of Art History courses and leads to the B.A. degree. Students contemplating advanced study in art history are strongly urged to take a foreign language, preferably French or German.
