Common use of Assignment of Extra Work Clause in Contracts

Assignment of Extra Work. The Parties agree that extra work which is normally performed within the Bargaining Unit will be first offered by seniority to qualified employees, who are within the same building location. Part-time employees shall be given available opportunities to perform extra hours of work, including temporary replacements, to reach a regular work day or week, before calling a casual employee or hiring new employees. The assignment of extra work will not include that which would normally be performed by qualified Bus Drivers.
