Common use of Assignment of Extra Work Clause in Contracts

Assignment of Extra Work. All operators may be called upon to do extra work when necessary, including Saturdays, Sundays, regularly scheduled days off, and holidays. However, such work will not be required (a) on an employee's regularly assigned day off, as long as there are other operators to perform the work; or (b) if it will result in the operator not having one (1) day off during the week. Such extra work will be paid at the employee's applicable rate of pay.
