– ATTENDANCE AT LOCAL MEETINGS. Section 1 Any employee wishing to attend a Local #361 business meeting may do so in exchange for making up the time to fully “repay” the Board for the actual time the employee is away from his/her work station while in attendance at such a meeting and providing the employee notifies his/her immediate superior at least one (1) day in advance of the meeting date. Section 2 Exception to the above: If there is an approved scheduled activity that requires an employee to be present, that employee will be required to remain on duty in the respective building. Section 3 The Board regards ratification meetings as professional meetings, therefore, employees shall be allowed up to a two (2) hour maximum time to attend a ratification meeting without need for make-up time. Section 4 The Union shall be permitted to meet for a minimum of 30 minutes with all OAPSE members and new employees during the August in-service day (prior to students attending school) to communicate with them regarding Union business/benefits, and/or sign membership applications, and/or to distribute to them a copy of this agreement. All employees shall be paid their regular hourly rate during this meeting time. Provisions in Section 1 of this article do not apply to this in-service day meeting.
– ATTENDANCE AT LOCAL MEETINGS. Upon seven (7) calendar days advance written notice to her/his supervisor, local union officers and local employee representatives included on the list provided to the University by UPTE, as set forth in Section C.2. of Article 2, Access, shall be granted time off without pay or, at the employee s option, such time would be charged to accrued compensatory time off or accrued vacation time, to attend local union meetings. Approval for such leave shall not be granted for a period to exceed four (4) hours and such approval shall not be granted to any individual employee more than once per month. The supervisor may grant additional time over four (4) hours on a case-by-case basis. The granting of such approval to local employee representatives and officers shall be subject to the operational needs of the University and may be granted to one (1) or more but not necessarily all such employees on the same shift in the same operational area. Such approval shall not be unreasonably denied.

  • Attendance at Meetings Any employee required to attend Occupational Health and Safety Committee and/or Board of Management meetings in the capacity of employee representative shall, if such meetings are held outside the ordinary hours of work, be entitled to receive ordinary pay per hour for the actual time spent in attendance at such meetings. In lieu of receiving payment, employees may, with the agreement of the employer, be permitted to be free from duty for a period of time equivalent to the period spent in attendance at such meetings. Such time spent shall not be viewed as overtime for the purposes of this Agreement.

  • ATTENDANCE AT MANDATORY MEETINGS/SCHOOL EVENTS Where an employee is required through clear direction by the board to attend work outside of regular working hours, the provisions of the local collective agreement regarding hours of work and compensation, including any relevant overtime/lieu time provisions, shall apply. Required attendance outside of regular working hours may include, but is not limited to school staff meetings, parent/teacher interviews, curriculum nights, Individual Education Plan and Identification Placement Review Committee meetings, and consultations with board professional staff.

  • Tool Box Meetings 54.1 Tool Box Meetings are regarded as an important part of site based communications. The Employer will develop a program of consultation with its site based Employees around safety, productivity, constructability and methodology. 54.2 At least one toolbox meeting will be convened by the Employer per site, each month to facilitate and ▇▇▇▇▇▇ communication and consultation. Items to be discussed at each meeting may include but are not limited to programming of site work, site issues, work health and safety, job design, productivity issues, management policies, Agreement compliance, wages and conditions, compliance with statutory obligations and any other relevant issue raised. Notice of the meeting will be given at least one (1) week prior to the scheduled date, but can be rescheduled to accommodate site requirements. There will be a standing invitation for representatives of the Union to attend such toolbox meetings. Meetings will be scheduled so as to minimise disruption to production.

  • GENERAL MEETINGS The Academy Trust shall hold an Annual General Meeting each year in addition to any other meetings in that year, and shall specify the meeting as such in the notices calling it; and not more than fifteen months shall elapse between the date of one Annual General Meeting of the Academy Trust and that of the next. Provided that so long as the Academy Trust holds its first Annual General Meeting within eighteen months of its incorporation, it need not hold it in the year of its incorporation or in the following year. The Annual General Meeting shall be held at such time and place as the Governors shall appoint. All meetings other than Annual General Meetings shall be called General Meetings.

  • Professional Meetings Employees should be encouraged to and may, with the approval of the supervisor, attend professional meetings, conferences, and activities. Subject to the availability of funds, the employee's expenses in connection with such meetings, conferences, or activities shall be reimbursed in accordance with the applicable provisions of State law and university rules.
