Common use of Authorization to Proceed Clause in Contracts

Authorization to Proceed. Upon receipt by the City from the Consultant of the insurance certificate, business licence confirmation and WorkSafeBC registration number, as required by this Agreement (and any further documents that may be required prior to issuance of a purchase order, as may be set out in this Agreement), the City shall issue a purchase order to the Consultant (the "Purchase Order"). Issuance of the Purchase Order authorizes the Consultant to proceed with the Services, and the Consultant shall not proceed with any Services unless they have received a Purchase Order from the City.
