Bargaining unit members shall receive appropriate credit for their work during their annual evaluation, but it is the bargaining unit member's responsibility to ensure that the supervisor is aware of the work that the member has done during the period under review. In addition, bargaining unit members shall receive appropriate acknowledgement of their projects or contributions to projects in such instances in which acknowledgement is customarily and publicly given by the University.
Bargaining unit work shall not include work that the bargaining unit employees do not possess the skills or have the appropriate equipment to perform. Notwithstanding the above, the parties acknowledge that work processes and methods evolve. The City shall continue to provide employees with the necessary equipment and training to perform work that is a logical and reasonable advancement of the work covered by this agreement, provided the money to pay for the necessary equipment and/or skills is either within the bureaus’ budget and they are authorized to spend it in this manner or the expenditure is approved by City Council.
Bargaining unit members shall earn their salary at the Equalized Daily rate. A bargaining unit member’s Equalized Daily Rate of Pay shall be calculated based upon dividing the annual salary by the number of paid days in the bargaining unit member’s work calendar. Upon termination, bargaining unit members shall be paid through their last day worked at the Equalized Daily rate.
Bargaining. Unit Members who are eligible for recall shall file with the Board their most recent address and telephone number.
Bargaining unit members will be entitled to industrial accident leave according to the provision in Education Code Section 44984, for personal injury which has qualified for Workers' Compensation under the provisions of the State Compensation Insurance Fund.
Bargaining unit members shall not be required to work in unsafe conditions or to perform tasks that endanger their health, safety or well-being.
Bargaining unit supervisors and/or designees, making or receiving work- related calls at home, will be compensated for a minimum of one-half (1/2) hour for the time worked. Callback is not authorized for this work.
Bargaining unit members covered by this Agreement shall be subject to the Commonwealth's rules and regulations governing procedures to be followed in the event that any of the above holidays falls on a Saturday or a Sunday.
Bargaining unit members shall be allowed to accumulate up to 120 hours of compensatory time. Members who have accumulated 120 or fewer hours of compensatory time shall not be required to use compensatory time off by the Agency. However, members may request to utilize such compensatory time off at times of their own choosing. The Agency shall not unreasonably deny such requests.
Bargaining unit members under investigation shall be informed, in writing, of the disposition of the investigations conducted.
