BARGAINING UNIT MEMBER PROTECTION. A. No Bargaining Unit Member shall be left in a building alone. B. Any case of assault upon a Bargaining Unit Member shall be promptly reported to the Board. The Board will reimburse the Bargaining Unit Member for the cost of legal counsel up to $500 to advise the individual of his/her rights and obligations with respect to such assault and shall promptly render all reasonable assistance to the Bargaining Unit Member in connection with handling of the incident by law enforcement and judicial authorities. C. Time lost by a Bargaining Unit Member in connection with any incident mentioned in this Article shall not be charged against the Bargaining Unit Member's sick leave even though the regular gross earnings shall be maintained. D. The Board shall reimburse Bargaining Unit Members for any loss, damage, or destruction of clothing or personal property while on duty. However, the Board will not be obligated to pay if the employee is negligent. E. In the event a complaint or charge is made by any person or group not employed by the Board against any Bargaining Unit Member, the Bargaining Unit Member shall be given full information with respect thereto and with respect to any investigation conducted by the Board, unless prohibited by law.
