Beginning Teacher Program. Any employee who participates on a voluntary basis as a peer teacher shall, along with other support team members, work with the site administrator on a continuous basis to insure the success of the Beginning Teacher Program. The site administrator will be responsible for conducting all required evaluations.
Beginning Teacher Program. Beginning teachers shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of this contract, except as modified by Florida Statute. Funding shall be allocated to provide substitutes for up to 10 days for each school year, for the release of beginning teachers and/or peer teachers participating in the program. These days are to be assigned by the principal to be used to observe, counsel, and to support other Beginning Teacher Program activities. Employees enrolled in the Beginning Teacher Program shall not be required to sponsor clubs or serve as coaches.

Funding shall be allocated to provide substitutes for up to 4 days for each school year, for the release of beginning teachers and/or mentor teachers participating in the program. Two of the four days should be allocated for each beginning teacher to attend required trainings hosted by the district that are to be completed within the first 45 days of hire as part of the program. Teachers will register for these two days via the district’s professional development platform and secure a substitute using two of the four TDE days. The additional two days are to be assigned by the principal to be used to observe other teachers, counsel, and to support other Beginning Teacher Program activities required by Florida. Employees enrolled in the Beginning Teacher Program shall not be required to sponsor clubs or serve as coaches during the time of the program.
Beginning Teacher Program a. Beginning teachers shall be provided with assistance and teaching conditions to help them with their introduction to teaching. b. Provisions include, where practicable: i. a teaching assignment where the most demanding classes in the school are not the responsibility of a beginning teacher; ii. release time when deemed appropriate by the superintendent of schools or designate; iii. a mentor or coaching program in the school; iv. an orientation and induction program; v. assistance from district resource staff; vi. and such other jointly sponsored activities which may be provided from time to time.
Beginning Teacher Program. Each Peer Teacher in the Beginning Teacher Program will receive release time, which will be given as determined by the building Principal, for each beginning teacher assigned to him/her. In addition, each Peer Teacher will receive additional compensation for the assignment per the currently existing Supplemental Salary Schedule. No Peer Teacher shall be assigned more than one beginning teacher during any one school year except where reasonably necessary in the opinion of the Principal and/or Peer Teacher.
Beginning Teacher Program. A teacher new to the profession will be appraised in accordance with the mutually agreed upon Beginning Teacher Program requirements.

  • BEGINNING TEACHERS 1. Beginning teachers shall be provided with specific teaching conditions to help them in their adjustment to teaching. The specific conditions shall include, but not be limited to a teaching assignment wherein: a. the most demanding classes are not their responsibility, and b. the number of subject preparations are kept to a minimum. 2. The Board and Union shall jointly design mentoring and induction programs.

  • Multi-year Planning Targets Schedule A may reflect an allocation for the first Funding Year of this Agreement as well as planning targets for up to two additional years, consistent with the term of this Agreement. In such an event, the HSP acknowledges that if it is provided with planning targets, these targets: a. are targets only, b. are provided solely for the purposes of planning, c. are subject to confirmation, and d. may be changed at the discretion of the Funder in consultation with the HSP. The HSP will proactively manage the risks associated with multi-year planning and the potential changes to the planning targets; and the Funder agrees that it will communicate any changes to the planning targets as soon as reasonably possible.

  • Jury Service Program This Contract is subject to the provisions of the County’s ordinance entitled Contractor Employee Jury Service (“Jury Service Program”) as codified in Sections 2.203.010 through 2.203.090 of the Los Angeles County Code, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit H and incorporated by reference into and made a part of this Contract.
