Common use of Board & Lodging Clause in Contracts

Board & Lodging. When an Employer provides camp or board and lodging, the basic wage scale will be observed and the rate for camp or board and lodging will not exceed fifteen dollars ($15.00) per day to be paid by the employee. Any costs over fifteen dollars ($15.00) per day will be absorbed by the Employer. On jobs in remote areas where camp or board and lodging is not provided and housing is inadequate or the cost of housing is prohibitive the Employer will make every effort to arrange for housing at reasonable rates to its employees. SECTION 6. Downtown Seattle Zone Pay (effective October 12, 2021) A. The Downtown Seattle Zone is defined as the area West of I-5, East of ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Bay, South of ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Street and North of ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. It also includes the area North of Yesler Way, West of Broadway, South of Pike St. and East Pike St. and the section of I-5 North of Yesler Way and South of Pike St. For the purpose of this section, the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ and ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ boundaries will be straight line extensions to a point the straight line intersects ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Bay. B. When parking is not reimbursed or provided, a fixed rate of $1.50 per hour shall be paid for each hour worked on projects within this Zone.
