Board and Lodging Allowances. (a) Local Hire
Board and Lodging Allowances. (a) Local Hire: No board and lodging will be supplied or no living allowance will be paid to persons hired locally for a project. Should such persons be transferred to another project where the distance involved requires the persons to reside away from their original point of domicile, then board and lodging allowances will apply.
(b) Employees at their headquarters: No board and lodging will be supplied, or living allowance or meals and/or accommodation paid to employees while at their permanent place of residence or to "stationary" or "seasonal field" employees while at their permanent headquarters, except as specifically authorized by the Master Agreement .

(1) meal allowances as outlined in Clause 27.8;
(2) accommodation reimbursement; where private accommodation is used, they will be entitled to $40 per night;
(3) $5 for incidental expenses for every night away from home. The above-mentioned employees eligible for travel status shall be provided with an adequate travel advance upon request. The amount of advance will be determined by such factors as time away from headquarters and the frequency of reimbursement.

(3) Notwithstanding any provisions contained in Sections 1.1(c)(1) or (2), travel status will not apply where the Employer decides to provide for or supplies free board and lodging.
