Broken Service. Where an employee breaks continuity of service by an absence from work for any reason other than a reason set out in clause 36.14, the amount of leave to which the employee would have been entitled shall be reduced by one forty-eighth, for each week or part thereof during which any such absence occurs and the amount of payment in lieu of leave to which the employee would have been entitled, shall be reduced by one-twelfth of a week's pay for each week or part thereof during which any such absence occurs.

Broken Service. Where an employee breaks his/her continuity of service by an absence from work for any reason other than a reason set out in clause 36.14without the permission of the employer, the amount of leave to which the employee he/she would have been entitled under 14.1 and 14.3, shall be reduced by one fortyone-eighth, forty eighth for each week or part thereof during which any such absence occurs and the amount of payment in lieu of leave to which the employee would have been entitled, shall be reduced by one-twelfth of a week's ’s pay for each week or part thereof during which any such absence occurs.
