Common use of Broken Time Clause in Contracts

Broken Time. Employees prevented from completing a day’s work due to illness, will be paid for actual time on duty up to the time relieved from duty. Employees prevented from completing a day’s work due to injury sustained on duty will be paid for actual time on duty up to the time relieved from duty but not less than a basic day’s pay. Employees called to relieve other employees for completion of a day’s work due to illness or injury on duty will be paid not less than a basic day’s pay.
