CALENDAR AND HOURS. ‌ 11.1 Hours 11.1.1 Duty Teachers are required to be on duty for seven and one-half hours, inclusive of a thirty (30) minute duty free lunch. Teachers are required to be on duty not less than thirty (30) minutes prior to the commencing of classes. The principal shall prescribe the time when all teachers are to be in their classrooms. All teachers shall observe punctually the hours negotiated between the Association and the Governing Board of the school district for opening and closing of school. 11.1.1.1 On days when unit members are required to return for an evening meeting, i.e., Open House, Back-to School Night, or similar events, unit members shall be permitted to leave school at the end of the pupil instructional day.
