Days and Hours of Work. The standard workweek for workers occupying full-time positions consists of 40 hours unless otherwise specified by the Board of Supervisors. Except as hereinafter provided, County offices shall be open for business from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. With the County Manager's approval, department heads may make such changes to the schedule of office hours as public convenience or necessity may require. All classifications who work via telephonic communication during non-working hours shall be compensated at their regular rate of pay for actual time worked rounded up to the nearest six-minute increment.
Days and Hours of Work. 10.1.1 For Teaching members the work week will be Monday through Friday, unless an arrangement is made that is mutually acceptable to the member, the department Chair and the appropriate ▇▇▇▇. During the examination period, work may be assigned on the weekend for examination purposes.
10.1.2 Members are entitled to a minimum twelve (12) hour break between workdays, unless a suitable alternate arrangement can be made between the member and the department chair.

Days and Hours of Work. 8.1.1 Employees will work a five (5) day week, except as otherwise provided in this Agreement.
8.1.2 The normal hours of work for employees covered by this Agreement will be seven (7) hours per day.
8.1.3 The University will give a minimum of ten (10) days notice of a change in shift unless the change results in an employee working hours that entitle the employee to an overtime wage. All changes of shift will be discussed with the employee prior to the giving of notice. If the proposed shift change would result in hardship for the employee concerned, the University will attempt to accommodate the employee's needs through transfer or other mutually agreeable means.
8.1.4 Employees who work more than six (6) hours a day will be entitled to an unpaid meal break of not less than thirty (30) minutes and not more than one (1) hour. Employees who work from five (5) to six (6) hours a day will have the option of taking an unpaid meal break. Employees who work less than five (5) hours a day will not be entitled to a meal break.
8.1.5 Employees who work more than six (6) hours a day will be entitled to two (2) paid fifteen (15) minute rest periods, one (1) during the work period prior to the meal break and one (1) during the work period after the meal break. Employees who work six (6) hours a day or less will be entitled to one (1) paid fifteen (15) minute rest period.
8.1.6 The times when the meal break and rest periods are taken will be approved by the supervisor.
8.1.7 The length of time between the starting and quitting times in a normal working day will not exceed eight (8) hours.
8.1.8 When employees attend a required work-related meeting during their normal meal break they will reschedule their break on that day with the time subject to the approval of their supervisor.
8.1.9 An employee, reporting for work at the call of the University, shall be entitled to their regular wage for the entire period spent at the place of work, with a minimum of four

6.1 Hours of Work Full-time employees are regularly scheduled to work a four-ten schedule or 40 hours per workweek. Employee schedules may vary based on assignment. Employees may be permitted to work an alternative schedule, subject to the approval of the Fire Chief or designee.
