Common use of Call Backs for Overtime Clause in Contracts

Call Backs for Overtime. After having left her place of work, an employee who receives a call back and returns to work shall be paid at overtime rates for all hours worked, subject to a minimum of two (2) hours at overtime rates, as set out in the pay schedules and overtime articles in this agreement. Notwithstanding the above, an employee called out more than once during the two (2) hour period shall not receive any further overtime until the two (2) hour period has elapsed. An employee called out to return to work shall be reimbursed at the kilometre allowance as per Article 16. This article does not apply to a Field employee unless the call back is for overtime, which occurs only if the employee has worked more than twelve (12) hours in a day.
