Common use of Callback Compensation Clause in Contracts

Callback Compensation. A. Non-exempt employees called back to work shall receive a minimum of three (3) hours pay consistent with the terms of Section 3 of this Article. B. Non—exempt employees called back to work prior to their normal scheduled workday shall be compensated at a rate of one and one half (1 ½) times their regular rate of pay for that time worked in excess of their normal eight (8) hour shift, and will not be sent home early to avoid the payment of overtime. C. Consecutive hours worked in excess of sixteen (16) hours shall be paid at double the straight time pay. D. Employees “on-call” shall be provided a City vehicle or compensated at the rate, as determined by the State law, for the use of their personal vehicle to return to work.
