Cancellation of Assignment Clause Samples
Cancellation of Assignment. An adjunct faculty member's quarterly assignment or multi-term contract may be cancelled if their services are not needed. Examples of such situations may include, but are not limited to the following:
A. There is insufficient enrollment in the class(es) assigned.
B. The assigned class(es) is (are) needed to make a full-load for a tenured or tenure- track faculty member,
C. Changes to a program or course series.
Cancellation of Assignment. Where a substitute teacher receives less than 12 hours’ notice for cancellation, they will be compensated with pay for the time that they were originally booked for.
Cancellation of Assignment. 5.3.6.1. When a substitute teacher has accepted employment to substitute for a teacher to attend a School Division organized event, such employment shall not be cancelled, without at least twenty-four (24) hours’ notice.
5.3.6.2. In the event that less than twenty-four (24) hours’ notice is provided, the substitute teacher shall be reassigned to other duties within the school.
Cancellation of Assignment. 5.3.2.1. Substitute teachers shall receive, at minimum, twenty-four (24) hours’ notice of cancellation of assignment. During this twenty- four (24) hours’ notice period, the substitute may be offered an alternative assignment at the same school. Should the substitute decline the alternative assignment, the substitute shall not be paid.
Cancellation of Assignment. (a) The Board shall give a minimum of two (2) hours notice of cancellation of any pre- arranged assignment. Should cancellation of a pre-arranged assignment occur within two (2) hours' notice, the Board shall pay the occasional teacher for that day's assignment.
(b) Notwithstanding 22.01 (a) if there is an inclement weather day, the assignment is cancelled and the occasional teacher is not required.
Cancellation of Assignment. When possible, the occasional teacher will be notified by the Principal/Vice- principal or designate of a cancellation of an assignment the day before the originally scheduled assignment.
(a) Where an employee is directed to report for work and upon reporting is informed that the teacher to be replaced is present, the employee will be paid for half of the day and will be assigned professional duties by the Principal or designate to be performed during this half-day period.
(b) In the event of an emergency closure on the day of the assignment of a school or early dismissal for emergency reasons, the occasional teacher will be paid for their scheduled assignment.
(c) Procedure ▇▇.▇▇▇.▇▇ (Inclement Weather), as established by the Board and as amended from time to time, shall apply to teachers covered by this Collective Agreement.
(d) An Occasional Teacher shall not be considered late for an assignment as a result of a late request to report for an assignment provided the teacher arrives within a reasonable time of receiving such late request.
Cancellation of Assignment. The Community Council shall cancel the use it has authorized by assignment under Subsection 4.2.7 where the lot:
(a) is not being used for the purposes authorized in the assignment under Subsection 4.2.7 within a prescribed period of time from the date of such authorization; or
(b) is being used for a purpose other than the purposes authorized in the assignment by the Community Council; or
(c) is not being used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the assignment, including any of the provisions of The Crown Lands Act and regulations; and shall notify Manitoba in writing of the cancellation.
Cancellation of Assignment. When possible, the occasional teacher will be notified by the Principal/Vice-principal or designate of a cancellation of an assignment the day before the originally scheduled assignment.
(a) Where an employee is directed to report for work and upon reporting is informed that the teacher to be replaced is present, the employee will be paid 0.5 of the daily rate for all assignments of 0.5 or greater and paid for the full assignment if less than 0.5. Employees will be assigned professional duties by the Principal or designate to be performed during their assignment. If two teachers report for work for the same assignment, the teacher with the job confirmation number will be given the assignment. The other teacher will be paid in accordance with above.
(b) In the event of an emergency closure on the day of the assignment of a school or early dismissal for emergency reasons, the occasional teacher will be paid for their scheduled assignment.
(c) Procedure ▇▇.▇▇▇.▇▇ (Inclement Weather), as established by the Board and as amended from time to time, shall apply to teachers covered by this Collective Agreement.
(d) An Occasional Teacher shall not be considered late for an assignment as a result of a late request to report for an assignment provided the teacher arrives within a reasonable time of receiving such late request
(e) In the event of an assignment still being unfilled prior to the start time on the day of the assignment, an OT can contact the school to indicate that they may be late, or as per (d) above, but are willing to accept the assignment if needed.
Cancellation of Assignment. The Assistant Chief of Operations or his designee may cancel a contract at any time with or without cause. The contracting business may cancel a request for assignment by contacting the Police Department twenty-four (24) hours in advance of the date and time of the scheduled assignment. To cancel an assignment, the Assistant Chief of Operations should be contacted at (▇▇▇) ▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇ during business hours. After business hours, the shift commander should be contacted at (▇▇▇) ▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇. Failure to provide twenty-four (24) hour advance notice of cancellation will result in the contracting business being liable for a fee of two (2) hours for each scheduled officer.
Cancellation of Assignment. Effective November 1, 2023, there shall be no cancellations of substitute teacher assignment by the teacher after 6:00 pm.
