Categories of Loops. GTE shall provide the following general ------------------- categories of loops according to their technical configuration and capabilities: 4.2.1 2-wire analog voice grade" loops will support analog transmission of 300-3000 Hz, repeat loop start or ground start seizure and disconnect in one direction (toward the end office switch), and repeat ringing in the other direction (toward the end user). This loop is commonly used for local dial tone service.
