Cease Acting Clause Samples

The Cease Acting clause defines the conditions under which a party, typically a service provider or agent, may stop performing their duties under an agreement. This clause often outlines specific triggers—such as non-payment, breach of contract, or legal impediments—that justify the cessation of services, and may require advance notice to the other party. Its core practical function is to provide a clear, contractual mechanism for suspending or ending obligations, thereby protecting the party from continuing work under unfavorable or untenable circumstances.
