Changes in Employment Status. A. In the event of a qualifying employee's death, eligibility will be continued for a spouse, registered same-sex domestic partner and/or children regardless of their registration status at that time based on the employee’s active status and eligibility at the time of death. B. With ten (10) years of service, in the event of a qualifying employee's retirement or total disability (under PERS, STRS or Social Security), eligibility will be continued for a spouse, registered same-sex domestic partner and/or children regardless of their registration status at that time based on the employee’s active status and eligibility at the time of retirement. C.
