Check Off and Payroll Deductions. The Employer agrees to deduct dues and fees from the wages of each employee covered under this Agreement, as may be authorized by the employee by written assignment. Such deduction shall be transmitted to the Union within 15 days following the end of each calendar month. The Union shall notify the Mayor in writing of a decrease or increase in authorized dues or fees deducted. The City shall then make the appropriate changes in payroll deductions. The City shall remit the employee's authorized Union deductions to the duly authorized representative of Union, together with a list of the names and addresses of the employees from whose pay deductions are made. The Union, or its designee, shall have the right to receipts from deductions of dues, initiation fees or agency fees, Union-sponsored insurance premiums and Union- sponsored employee benefits as previously authorized or as may be authorized by the bargaining unit member.
