Commitment to Consultation. The parties to this agreement recognise that for the agreement to be successful, then the initiatives contained within this agreement need to be implemented through an open and consultative process. The parties to this Agreement are committed to involving employees and their union representatives in the decision-making processes affecting the workforce. Employees will be encouraged to participate in the consultation processes by allowing adequate time to understand, analyse, seek appropriate advice from their union and respond to such information. Consultation requires the exchange of timely information relevant to the issues at hand, and a genuine desire for the consideration of each party’s views, before making a final decision.
Commitment to Consultation. 19.1. The Hospital and Health Service and the QNMU are committed to ensuring that appropriate consultation occurs at all levels regarding nursing and midwifery matters. This includes involving employees and their union representatives in the decision-making processes affecting the nursing and midwifery workforce. 19.2. Employees will be encouraged to participate in the consultation processes by allowing adequate time to understand, analyse, seek appropriate advice from their union and respond to such information. 19.3. Consultation requires the exchange of timely information relevant to the issues at hand, and a genuine desire for the consideration of each party’s views, before making a final decision. 19.4. Organisational change - All significant organisational change and/or restructuring that will impact on the workforce (eg job reductions, deployment to new locations, major alterations to current service delivery arrangements) will be subject to the employer establishing such benefits in a business case which will be tabled for the purposes of consultation at the NaMCF. A business case is not required for minor changes or minor restructuring.

Changes to the workplace include but are not limited to changes to the physical environment and an expansion or diminution of the role, responsibilities, or major duties of a medical officer, including supervisory duties. 3.2.3 Employees will be encouraged to participate in the consultation processes by being allowed adequate time to understand, analyse, seek appropriate advice from their union and respond to such information. 3.2.4 The requirement of consultation is never to be treated perfunctorily or as a mere formality (Port Louis Corporation v. Attorney-General of Mauritius (1965) AC 1111 at 1124).
Commitment to Consultation. The parties agree to engage in ongoing consultation throughout the life of this Agreement. A consultative committee will convene on at least a quarterly basis. It will have terms of reference drafted and endorsed by the committee and ratified by the Synod Senior Leadership Team (SLT). The consultative committee will be made up of employee, employer and union representatives. The consultative committee should convene within three months after this Agreement is approved by the Fair Work Commission.

Nurses and midwives will be encouraged to participate in the consultation processes by allowing adequate time to understand, analyse, seek appropriate advice from their union and respond to such information. 30.3 Consultation requires the exchange of timely information relevant to the issues at hand, and a genuine desire for the consideration of each party’s views, before making a final decision. 30.4 Local, Nursing and District Consultative Forums (LCF/NCF/DCF) will continue in accordance with the Terms of Reference agreed by the parties represented on such Forums.
Commitment to Consultation. We recognise that some of us may, in the course of undertaking our Alliance Activities and otherwise meeting our commitments under this Agreement, be required to consult with others who do not form part of our Alliance. We will provide those of us who are subject to such a requirement with a reasonable opportunity to do so in a prudent and timely manner.
